Lorianne Owen graduated from The University Of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences in 1981, and a Master of Arts degree in Audiology in 1983. Ms. Owen was honored to complete her Clinical Fellowship Year at the renowned Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at The University Of Iowa Hospital.
She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
Prior to joining ENT And Allergy Associates, Ms. Owen was a clinical audiologist at a hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and in private otolaryngology offices in Charleston, South Carolina, and Somerville, New Jersey. She also had university appointments as a faculty instructor and clinical supervisor in audiology at Louisiana State University, and as a research scientist for the evaluation, programming, and data collection of adult cochlear implant recipients as part of an National Institutes of Health grant at The University of Iowa Hospital Department of Otolaryngology.
Presently, Ms. Owen enjoys and has expertise in the evaluation of hearing in patients of all ages, pediatric through geriatric.
She specializes in testing for medical hearing disorders, evaluation of dizziness and balance disorders, and the proper selection and fitting of state-of-the-art digital hearing aids with communicative suggestions to optimize conversations between hearing aid recipients and their familty and friends. Lorianne looks forward to helping you enjoy life more through better hearing.
