Dr. Elvera Bader, Au.D., completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders at CUNY Brooklyn College in 2011. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She went on to complete her Doctorate of Audiology through the CUNY Graduate Center. During her time there, she served as a research assistant on various studies, and in 2013 co-authored a study titled, College Music Faculty Views about Hearing Protection Use and Hearing Conservation Training.
Elvera gained clinical experience in her third year through rotations at Staten Island University Hospital and at StrivRight: The Auditory Oral School of New York. She went on to complete her residency at NYU Langone Medical Center. During that time, she gained comprehensive experience in audiologic evaluation and management of pediatric through geriatric populations; vestibular evaluations including VNG, Rotary Chair testing, cVEMP and eCochG testing; and in cochlear implant candidacy evaluations, activations and mappings. Prior to joining ENT and Allergy Associates, Elvera worked for several months at Staten Island University Hospital where she conducted audiologic and vestibular evaluations and management of hearing loss for patients of all ages.
Elvera is a licensed Audiologist in both New York and New Jersey and currently holds a dispensing license for New York State. She is also a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Elvera currently conducts audiologic and vestibular evaluations, including electrophysiological assessment of the hearing and balance systems. In addition, Elvera is interested in the management of hearing loss through the latest in digital hearing aid technology.
