Jennifer  Gilligan, Au.D, CCC-A. F-AAA

Jennifer Gilligan, AuD, CCC-A, FAAA earned her doctorate at the CUNY Graduate Center, where she was the recipient of the Brooklyn College Graduate Award for Audiology. Dr Gilligan's interests are focused on the audiological rehabilitation and counseling of adults, utilizing the fundamental principles of Health Literacy and Patient-Centered Care. During her doctorate, Dr. Gilligan was invited to pursue a full-time Audiology Trainee-ship at the Manhattan VA hospital, where she treated veterans with dual-sensory impairment, PTSD and dementia. 

Dr. Gilligan's favorite aspect of Audiology is the time she is able to devote to counseling and relationship-building with patients and their families.  Dr. Gilligan has published numerous articles on the subject of Health Literacy and Patient Centered Care in Audiology, and she has been invited to present seminars and poster sessions on her research at ASHA and AAA conventions. Dr. Gilligan is also a Professor of Hearing Science, Aural Rehabilitation and Clinical Participation at SUNY New Paltz, and a contributor to the Ida Institute's Online University Course for Hearing Health Providers of the Future.
