Melynda Barnes, MD earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and went on to receive her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2008 where she was a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellow. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics in Stanford, CA and her fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. She then joined the faculty at Yale University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Surgery-Otolaryngology and practiced there before joining ENT and Allergy Associates.
Dr. Barnes’ practice focuses on aesthetic/ cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face, head and neck. She also focuses on surgical correction of nasal airway obstruction secondary to caudal septal deviation and internal nasal valve collapse. She also offers a variety of non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures including neuromodulators and facial fillers for the treatment of facial rhytids. Dr. Barnes’ clinical interests include facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), eyelid lift, facelift, eyebrow lift, facial fillers, wrinkle treatment, ear pinning (otoplasty), skin cancer reconstruction, facial trauma, deviated septum repair, and reconstruction after cutaneous trauma such as split earlobes and facial lacerations.
