I have been a patient of Dr. Joel Portnoy's for about a year now and have found him to be a thorough, knowledgeable and caring ENT doctor, and I have always been pleased with the way I've been treated by his office staff and how clean and updated these offices are. In May 2014, I suddenly had a problem with my old insurance company continuing to approve a nose spray that has been a tremendous help to my condition for approximately 15 years. Dr. Portnoy wrote the necessary letter, and I was given the nose spray. As my insurance company changed on 9/1/14, I had to go through the denial of my necessary nose spray yet again. Dr. Portnoy again wrote the necessary letter and this time the new insurance denied it. Thanks to Dr. Portnoy's nurse, Crystal, his office manager, Francine, and Dr. Portnoy himself I finally got the medicine that was so important to me. My son and husband are also very pleased patients of Dr. Portnoy. I recommend Dr. Portnoy and his staff very highly. They never gave up on my problem and were always courteous, patient and helpful.

My daughter's regular ENT from the practice was out of the office for the week, so we saw Dr. Portnoy. Let me tell you, this man made us feel so comfortable. He is genuinely caring and honest. I felt more relaxed after seeing him and felt my daughter's recovery from tonsillectomy was finally happening.
