Drew Franklin, MBA, FACMPE, Senior Director of Business Development, joined ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) in 2006. He is one of the executive administrators for the practice, reporting directly to the CEO. He is responsible for the operational oversight of several departments within the practice: Managed Care Contracting, Allergy, Audiology/Hearing Aids, Sleep, Clinical Research, Business Development and Physician Analytics. Mr. Franklin has 7 direct reports and a responsibility for over 200 employees.
In addition to payor contracting, business intelligence and productivity reporting, which Drew is passionate about and is the primary point of contact for the practice, he supports and guides his operational managers in Allergy, Audiology, Sleep and Clinical Trials. ENTA has more than 90 allergy nurses, 95 audiologists and manages 6 sleep labs.
He is integral to the practice’s revenue cycle optimization and works closely with the practice’s Director of Billing & Collections every day. Mr. Franklin works very closely with ENTA's CEO on due diligence and financial analysis for mergers and recruitment. He sees great value in optimization of data and communication across different business landscapes, using technology as an enabler. He promotes physician and practice growth by providing benchmark metrics and by encouraging goal-driven results. His contributions within the organization were instrumental in allowing ENTA to win the first HFMA MAP award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle issued to a Physician group in 2015.
Mr. Franklin is an Adjunct Professor at Pace University, Graduate Program for Public Administration, where he teaches Health Policy Studies as well as mentors graduate MPA candidates on networking & professional development.
Prior to joining ENT and Allergy Associates Mr. Franklin worked in the healthcare industry in both private practice and medical management consulting. He has experience in Managed Care contract negotiations, M&A due diligence, business process reengineering, custom reporting and Intranet development.
Mr. Franklin is a veteran of the Israel Defense Forces where he served for 2 years in combat as a staff sergeant in the 931st Division of the Nahal Brigade. During that time, he acted as a team leader providing effective command and administration of military personnel during special operations. He holds an M.B.A. from the NYU Stern School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Franklin &, Marshall College. He became a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE) in 2010 when MGMA published his thesis on the Healthcare Delivery Model in the United States. In addition, he is a former board member of the Association of Otolaryngology Administrators.
Mr. Franklin and his family reside in Manhattan where he is proximate to the greater majority of ENT and Allergy Associates' tri-state locations. He is adventurous, enjoys exercise, and staying abreast on the technological trends in today's world.
