Nation’s Foremost Otolaryngology Practice Announces that Anna Butrymowicz, MD
Will Join its New Office Near Grand Central Station
Tarrytown, NY—September 10, 2017: Even before it officially opens the doors at its newest location, a few blocks from Grand Central Station, ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA) continues hard at work assuring that the thousands of patients seeking its local services will find the right number of superb clinicians to handle their needs.
That hard work continues to pay off.
Today ENTA, whose 195+ board certified physicians and 42 state-of-the-art clinical offices currently serve the ear, nose, throat, audiology, sleep, facial plastics, allergy and related sub-specialty needs of over 75,000 patients each month in New York and New Jersey, proudly announced that Anna Butrymowicz, MD will be adding her credentials and experience to those of noted colleagues Jonathan Aviv, MD, Ofer Jacobowitz, MD and Jason Moche, MD at the Practice’s soon to be opened site located at 18 E 48th in Manhattan. The office opens in November of this year, and Dr. Butrymowicz is expected to start shortly after that, in January, 2018.
Dr. Anna Butrymowicz, who grew up in Yonkers, NY and currently resides in Manhattan, received her BA from Cornell University, earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and then went on to do her surgical internship and her Otolaryngology residency at Albany Medical Center. She most recently practiced at Jacobi Medical Center, where she saw adult and pediatric patients and was responsible for that institution’s revision sinus and skull base procedures.
Dr. Butrymowicz is currently board eligible by the American Board of Otolaryngology and certified in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. She earned an Endoscopic Endonasal Greater Palatine Artery Cauterization Award from Albany Medical Center and a John S. Dyson Citizenship Award from Cornell University. She was also awarded a Resident Leadership Grant from the AAO-HNS at its Annual Meeting in 2014 and a Medical Student Research Grant from Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Butrymowicz performed volunteer service for several years at the Drexel HOP Clinic, Salvation Army and the Pediatric Aids Benefit Concert in Philadelphia.
Her list of publication credentials is impressive, and includes works on Modified Radical Neck Dissection, Quality of Life Changes Following Concurrent Septoplasty, Endoscopic Endonasal Greater Palatine Artery Cauterization and Split-Calvarial Osteopericranial Flap for Reconstruction. She was the principal investigator for research regarding Topical Nasal Lactobacillus for Chronic Rhinosinusitis performed at Jacobi Medical Center.
As a member of ENTA’s new Grand Central team, Dr. Butrymowicz will offer general ENT services for both Pediatric and adult patients. She will be teamed up with veteran and renowned laryngologist Jonathan Aviv, MD, noted Sleep specialist Ofer Jacobowitz, MD and acclaimed Facial Plastics specialist Jason Moche, MD. ENTA is currently evaluating allergist candidates to add to the 48th St. clinical roster.
“The opportunity for us to bring the highest quality of care, both in general ENT matters and in our varied sub-specialties, to commuters and residents of mid-town Manhattan is why we decided to open this office”, noted ENTA Partner Ofer Jacobowitz, MD. “And now, to be able to welcome a young and highly capable physician like Anna Butrymowicz to the team makes it that much better. I am excited for us and for the many patients she will be helping”.
Added Robert Green, MD, President of ENTA, “The standard of excellence we demand and expect from all of our Practice’s physicians is, quite frankly, unparalleled and without compromise. That’s why, when we identify a clinician of Dr. Butrymowicz’s expertise and credentials, we are focused on ensuring she become part of ENTA. I’m delighted she has accepted our invitation, and look forward to many years of patient valued service from this fine physician”.
“When we, at ENTA, decide to invest in the opening of a new clinical site”, commented Robert Glazer, ENTA’s CEO, “it is based on the needs of those most proximate to that site. In the case of our new 48th St. office, we determined that both the commuter and resident population of the Grand Central Station area were currently underserved in the areas of otolaryngology and allergy. Simultaneously, we needed to identify physicians who could best deliver the medical care these patients needed and deserved. Happily, we were able to shift Drs. Aviv and Jacobowitz from other ENTA locations, hire Dr. Moche from Columbia University…and now bring Dr. Butrymowicz on board. We are confident that these four exceptional clinicians will provide the core of service which will meet the needs of those who will call upon them, day in and day out. Welcome aboard Anna!”
The newest ENTA Manhattan location will consist of 7,800 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art medical space. Its board-certified physicians will practice side-by-side with licensed hearing aid dispensing audiologists. It will offer patients 11 ENT Exam Rooms, three Allergy Rooms, two Audiology Booths and a Hearing Aid Dispensing room. It is located just a short walk from Grand Central Station, offering easy access to a range of major transportation options including over 15 subway and bus lines.
