ENT and Allergy Associates® Announces Blockbuster Expansion on Long Island

Nation’s Premier Ear, Nose, Throat, and Allergy Practice Acquires Existing Offices in Both Bay Shore and Smithtown, Reconfigures Existing Locations to Best Serve Patient Needs

Tarrytown, NY—October 27th, 2014: ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) is about to embark on its most significant expansion ever on Long Island, which includes the acquisition of two private practices, complemented by other shifts that will result in more locations, an enhanced roster of specialists, greater technology, and even better overall care for their patients.

The Practice, whose 40 locations and 160+ otolaryngologists, head and neck surgeons, laryngologists, neurotologists, rhinologists, sleep specialists, allergists, and audiologists service communities throughout New York and New Jersey (including four in Suffolk County—Port Jefferson, Patchogue, Riverhead, and Southampton), announced today that they will be acquiring not one, but two superb ENT groups in Suffolk County—Great South Bay Otolaryngology, P.C., (with current offices in Bay Shore and East Patchogue) and Edward J. Lipinsky, PC (currently located in Smithtown).

Joining ENTA as partners are otolaryngologists Eric Bergson, MD; Joseph Bonafede, MD; Todd Campbell, MD; Robert Gargano, MD; Rob Gottlieb, MD; Edward Lipinsky, MD; Thomas O’Donnell, MD; and Anna Stern, MD. Each of these highly trained physicians are board-certified in Otolaryngology and skilled in all aspects of ENT including Otology, Head and Neck Surgery, Sinus Surgery, Pediatric Otolaryngology, Laryngology, and Sleep Medicine.

ENTA will use these acquisitions to transform its overall presence in that important and populous region into a larger, stronger, and more state-of-the-art county-wide healthcare offering.

Here are the details:

  • In or around the summer of 2015, these eight physicians will begin seeing patients at a brand new, state-of-the-art ENTA clinical facility located at 2929 Expressway Drive North in Islandia. This new 16,000 Sq. ft. clinical office will be designed and built out in first quarter of 2015.
  • The Smithtown office of Edward J. Lipinsky, PC (at 300 East Main Street), and the Bay Shore office of Great South Bay Otolaryngology (at 375 E. Main Street) will close.
  • ENTA’s current Patchogue office (at 475 East Main Street) will close, and physicians practicing there will join physicians from the Great South Bay Otolaryngology at their existing superb East Patchogue office, located at 240 Yaphank Road.
  • ENTA’s current Port Jefferson office (located at 251 East Oakland Avenue) will move into a brand new Port Jefferson location at 1500 Route 112, Building #4, 2nd Floor, as recently announced.
  • ENTA will begin recruiting two additional otolaryngologists and one additional allergist/immunologist.

The totality of these moves will yield significant incremental benefits to the deserving patients of Suffolk County, including a greater number of highly trained physicians, an increase in convenient locations, an advanced level of technology, and a more comprehensive complement of offered services—including General Adult and Pediatric ENT, Voice and Swallowing, Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery, Disorders of the Inner Ear and Dizziness, Asthma, Clinical Immunology, Diagnostic Audiology, Hearing Aid dispensing, Sleep, and CT Services.

This historic joinder will also result in the immediate availability of ENTA’s superior operations practices—including a state-of-the-art Electronic Medical Records system, an easy-to-use patient web portal, a Phreesia digital check-in system, and inclusion on ENTA’s dedicated Patient Rapid Response Center for scheduling appointments—which will provide a more convenient and satisfying overall patient experience.

“We have invested an enormous amount of time and effort crafting a plan that best serves the needs of our Suffolk patients,” noted ENTA CEO Robert Glazer, “and we firmly believe that this design—replete with additional superbly trained veteran physicians and excellent new locations—will enable us to service all of these communities in Suffolk County with the high level of medical care that they deserve”.
