Dr. Michael G. Mendelsohn specializes in pediatric otolaryngology. He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine as part of the Six-Year Accelerated Liberal Arts/ Medical Education Program. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Schneider Children’s Hospital. He then completed his fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the University of Virginia. He maintains his affiliation with Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Schneider Children’s Hospital. Since completing his training, he has been practicing in New York for more than 14 years.
Dr. Mendelsohn is Board Certified in Otolaryngology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Mendelsohn holds an academic appointment of Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He has traveled to Africa to teach and operate. He has been featured regularly in the Castle-Connolly Book of Best Doctors in the New York Metropolitan Area.
Dr. Mendelsohn’s scope of practice includes ear, nose and throat disorders of children ages 0–18 years.
