In a momentous achievement, our dedicated medical professionals, Drs. Shawn Ciecko, Mike Amato, I. David Bough, Jr., Daniel Grinberg, and Marc Carney (Retired), have recently concluded a highly successful medical mission in Guatemala.
During their time in Guatemala, the medical team performed over 60 major head and neck surgical cases, providing transformative care to individuals in critical need. Beyond surgical interventions, the team seized the opportunity to share their expertise, actively engaging in the education of medical students on the intricacies of head and neck surgery, passing on knowledge to the next generation of healthcare providers.
This mission holds significant importance as it marks the eighth visit to Guatemala and the eleventh overall for Team ENT. Over the past decade, Team ENT has made a substantial impact on numerous lives, delivering crucial care to patients, including those facing the challenges of limited treatment options in their battle against cancer.
