Laura Colbert Carbonaro, Director of Central Billing Operations, joined ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP in November of 1998. She has over 20 years experience in virtually all areas of medical group and hospital administration with a strong focus on Patient Financial Services and Operations. Her previous employment has been in positions such as Director of Patient Account Services, Controller, Director of Operations, Vice-President of Administration/ Finance, and Director of Professional Services with employers encompassing specialty care (Archdiocese of New York), investor owned hospitals / medical groups, general hospitals, and the faculty practice plan of a major New York City medical center (Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine).
In addition to her financial background, Ms. Carbonaro also has strong experience and proficiency in compliance, managed care, information systems, quality assurance, human resources, and internal controls. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Economics from State University of New York.
Her area of responsibility with ENT and Allergy Associates is the completion of the revenue cycle (from pre-billing to zero balance) including the submission of claims, securing payment for services rendered, and answering patient inquires. She also serves as a resource to the Group in the development of third party payer relationships, and coding/compliance matters.
