Dr. Roxanne Forlano earned her Doctor of Audiology degree in May 2014 from the Long Island Au.D. Consortium of Adelphi, Hofstra and St. John’s Universities. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication as well as a minor in Spanish from St. Joseph’s College in 2010. She is a New York State licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Dr. Forlano completed her fourth year externship at ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP and is now a full time clinical Audiologist with the company. She trained as a doctoral intern at Adelphi, Hofstra and St. John’s University clinics, Lexington School for the Deaf, as well as in private practice and other ENT settings. Dr. Forlano is a published research author in the American Journal of Audiology (AJA) for her Graduate work in studying “The Efficacy of Routine Screening for High-Frequency Hearing Loss in Adults and Children”. The work is published under her maiden surname Hoffman.
Dr. Forlano has experience in comprehensive diagnostic testing from pediatrics to geriatrics. She specializes in the fitting of advanced digital and Bluetooth technology hearing aids as well as specialty vestibular and electrophysiological testing. Dr. Forlano now supervises and instructs doctoral candidates as they advance into future Doctors of Audiology.
