Sofya Shlafman, Au.D, earned her bachelors of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology in 2002 at Brooklyn College and her Masters of Arts at St. John's University, Jamiaca, Queens, NY in 2004. She then completed her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, in May 2009. She previously worked at ENT Associates of NY/Total Hearing Care, where she was a Senior Audiologist from 2006-2011 and at Brooklyn Audiology from 2004 to 2006.
Dr. Shlafman is currently a member of the American Academy of Audiology as well as the American Speech and Hearing Association. She is licensed to practice Audiology and dispense hearing aids in the state of New York. Dr. Shlafman performs audiological and electrophysiological evaluations (for dizziness and imbalance) for patients across the life span from pediatrics to the geriatric population. In addition, she has a special interest in dispensing and counseling patients on the use of hearing aids and other amplification devices. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and holds a Certificate in Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language, and hearing Association.
