Dr. Tara Gelernter earned her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2018 from the Long Island Au.D Consortium, consisting of Adelphi, Hofstra, and St. John’s Universities. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Yeshiva University in 2013.
As part of her clinical preparation, Dr. Gelernter trained at Adelphi, Hofstra and St John’s Universities, Blythedale Children’s Hospital as well in a private practice and other ENT setting. Dr. Gelernter completed her fourth year externship at ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP, and is now a full time clinical audiologist with the company.
Dr. Gelernter has experience with comprehensive diagnostic testing for the geriatric, adult, and pediatric populations. She specializes in the fitting and management of advanced technology hearing aids as well as in electrophysiological and vestibular evaluations. She enjoys connecting with her patients and providing compassionate and individualized care.
Dr. Gelernter is a New York State licensed audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
