Dr. Anju Patel is an expert in the treatment of complex adult and pediatric voice and swallowing disorders, as well as adult and pediatric care for general ear, nose, and throat diseases. With close ties to the Brooklyn community, she is a valued member of the Voice and Swallowing Center™, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP. Her superb otolaryngology credentials, subspecialized laryngology expertise, and passion allow Dr. Patel to serve the needs of those in Brooklyn and surrounding areas to ensure they receive the finest medical treatment possible.
ENT and Allergy's Voice and Swallowing Center provides state of the art care for voice and swallowing disorders using the latest equipment such as distal video chip Flexible Endoscopes‚ Videostroboscopes‚ and Transnasal Esophagoscopy for diagnostics and therapeutics. Dr. Patel's advanced training places her among the very few physicians in Kings County using minimally invasive techniques and in-office laryngeal surgeries for the treatment of voice and swallowing disorders.
Dr. Patel’s personal experience and background with voice and swallowing problems make her uniquely qualified to help patients with these issues. She understands the personal and work impacts a strained voice or inability to swallow can have on an individual. Dr. Patel is extremely gratified by her ability to help improve someone’s quality of life when afflicted by one of these disorders.
Dr. Patel earned her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine, then went on to complete her residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Tufts Medical Center. She subsequently obtained advanced specialized training through a fellowship in Laryngology and Care of the Professional Voice at the prestigious Emory Voice Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Patel has received numerous awards and honors, including induction into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. She has also authored numerous research publications and book chapters on laryngeal disorders.
