Drew Franklin, MBA, FACMPE, Chief Strategy Officer, joined ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) in 2006. He is one of the executive administrators for the practice, reporting directly to the CEO. He is responsible for the operational oversight of several divisions within the practice: Managed Care Contracting, Clinical Research Affiliations, Practice Development/Marketing, Business Development and Physician Analytics.
In addition to payor contracting, business intelligence and productivity reporting, which Drew is passionate about and is the primary point of contact for the practice, he works closely with the operational managers in Allergy, Audiology and Sleep to leverage technology for implementation and software development. ENTA has more than 95 allergy nurses, and 110 audiologists and is the largest private practice of its kind.
He is integral to the practice’s revenue cycle optimization and works closely with the practice’s Director of Billing & Collections every day. Mr. Franklin works very closely with ENTA's CEO on due diligence and financial analysis for mergers and recruitment. He sees great value in optimization of data and communication across different business landscapes, using technology as an enabler. He promotes physician and practice growth by providing benchmark metrics and by encouraging goal-driven results. His contributions within the organization were instrumental in allowing ENTA to win the HFMA MAP award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle issued to a Physician group in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Mr. Franklin is an Adjunct Professor at New York Medical College, where he teaches in the Master's of Public Health program. He is also adjunct faculty at Pace University, Graduate Program for Public Administration, where he teaches Health Policy Studies, Health Administration, and Health Analytics, as well as mentoring graduate MPA candidates on networking & professional development.
Prior to joining ENT and Allergy Associates Mr. Franklin worked in the healthcare industry in both private practice and medical management consulting. He has experience in Managed Care contract negotiations, M&A due diligence, business process reengineering, custom reporting and Intranet development.
Mr. Franklin is a veteran of the Israel Defense Forces where he served for 2 years in combat as a staff sergeant in the 931st Division of the Nahal Brigade. During that time, he acted as a team leader providing effective command and administration of military personnel during special operations. He holds an M.B.A. from the NYU Stern School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Franklin &, Marshall College. He became a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE) in 2010 when MGMA published his thesis on the Healthcare Delivery Model in the United States. In addition, he is a former board member of the Association of Otolaryngology Administrators.
