ENT and Allergy Associates Expands its Commitment to the Patients of Yonkers
Signs Letter of Intent to Construct State-of-the-Art Office in the
Historic Boyce Thompson Institute Building, to be Completed by September 2018
Tarrytown, NY – March 20, 2018: ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA) has been serving the ear, nose, throat, allergy and audiology needs of the residents of Yonkers, NY for over 20 years. In that time, the population of that southern Westchester community and its surrounding neighborhoods has grown substantially, so ENTA’s clinical offerings needed to do the same. And now, they have.
Today ENTA proudly announced it has signed a letter of intent to relocate its current Yonkers office to a state-of-the-art medical facility in the historic Boyce Thompson Institute building, located at 1086 N. Broadway, Yonkers.
That office is expected to be open by September 1, 2018 and will offer patients the entirety of its current roster of outstanding board certified specialists In the interim, ENTA’s Yonkers otolaryngologists, including Jeffrey N. Cousin, M.D., Derek Soohoo, M.D., F.A.C.S., Michael B. Tom, M.D., F.A.C.S. and Joshua Weissman, M.D., allergist Krzysztof M. Nowak, M.D., and audiologists Kristina Meyer, Au.D, Mary O'Sullivan, Au.D, F-AAA and Barbara Rooney Tartaglia, Au.D., F-AAA will continue to see adult and pediatric patients at their present location (984 N. Broadway), which is situated just down the street from the new site.
ENTA’s new and expanded office significantly increases the overall footprint from 6000 sq ft to over 8000 and will allow the Practice to hire an additional otolaryngologist. It will offer more exam rooms, a dedicated procedure room, expanded audiology and expanded allergy facilities, as well as all the latest patient-centered services and conveniences that ENTA is known for, including the newest technology, leading edge procedures, pre-visit check in, online appointment booking and much more. The office will consist of 10 ENT exam rooms, two allergy exam rooms, an allergy testing room and an injection room, two audio booths, a hearing aid dispensing room, a more spacious reception area and ample free parking. The building itself will also house Fortina's Restaurant, Starbucks and other dining and retails choices.
The historically important Boyce Thompson building was originally constructed in the early 20th century to house the renowned Institute for Plant Research, a leading organization in agrarian research and development. It has now been completely and lovingly restored, and prominently features a permanent exhibition on the history and importance of the former agricultural research center.
