Welcomes Fellowship-Trained Allergist/Immunologist Darren Hirsch, MD to Riverhead and East Patchogue Offices
Tarrytown, NY: January 5th, 2015—ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) recognizes that as the population and healthcare needs of the communities it serves, through its 40+ state-of-the-art clinical locations, continues to rise, so must the medical resources and expertise ENTA offers those communities.
For that reason, ENTA, the largest and most clinically advanced ear, nose, throat, allergy and audiology practice in the United States—with over 160 board-certified physicians serving 70,000 patients a month in New York and New Jersey—is always looking to supplement its physician roster with more of the ‘best and the brightest’ in the fields of Otolaryngology and related sub-specialties including Laryngology, Rhinology, Facial Plastics, Sleep Medicine, and Allergy/Immunology.
Today, ENTA announced that as of the summer of 2015, fellowship-trained allergist and immunologist Dr. Darren Hirsch will join both its East Patchogue and Riverhead offices in Suffolk County, Long Island.
In ENTA’s Riverhead office (located at 292 Shade Tree Lane), Dr. Hirsch will join a stellar physician line-up including Otolaryngologists Kevin Braat, MD; Paul Davey, MD; Paul Kelly, MD; Joel Portnoy, MD; and Eric Scarbrough, MD.
In East Patchogue (located at 240 Yaphank Road), Dr. Hirsch will join Otolaryngologists Eric Bergson, MD; Joseph Bonafede, MD; Todd Campbell, MD; Robert Gargano, MD; Thomas O’Donnell, MD; Lee Shangold, MD, FACS; Lauren Zaretsky, MD; John Sugrue, MD; Ajay Chitkara, MD; and Craig Litman, MD.
Dr. Darren Lowell Hirsch, MD is fellowship-trained in the fields of Allergy and Immunology and is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology. He received his undergraduate degree from Haverford College, his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Brown University in Providence, RI. Dr. Hirsch then went on to complete his Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Hofstra North Shore – LIJ School of Medicine, in Great Neck, NY.
He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society, and the New York Allergy and Asthma Society. Dr. Hirsch is also a Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at Hofstra North Shore – LIJ School of Medicine in Long Island, NY and continues to participate in research and presentations as well as being featured in publications which include information on immunology, immunotherapy, and autoimmune disease.
Dr. Kevin Braat, a senior partner at ENTA’s Riverhead office, noted, “We proudly define ourselves as a medical practice focused on delivering leading edge patient healthcare solutions. We welcome Dr. Hirsch and fully believe his talents, training, and dedication will provide that exact same level of care that our patients expect and deserve.”
Robert Gargano, MD, East Patchogue Otolaryngologist adds, “Not only are we thrilled to be able to better serve our valued patients by joining the ranks of ENT and Allergy Associates, but now we are also able to offer them the best allergy care right in our very own office. Dr. Hirsch is just the physician to serve our patients’ needs.”
“ENTA started small here on the Island, and now it is a staple of healthcare, which makes it a great place to be as an ENT or Allergy physician,” remarks Lauren Zaretsky, MD, ENTA Partner in Suffolk County. “We are happy to welcome Darren Hirsch to our Practice with the confidence that he will provide the patients of Suffolk County with the high level of care that is the ENTA standard”.
“The increased breadth of our commitment to the residents of Eastern Long Island requires us to continually review, evaluate, and supplement the physician care we offer. Darren Hirsch’s education and credentials reflect the kind of ‘best of the best’ pedigree that we seek when recruiting a new physician,” added Dr. Robert Green, President of ENT and Allergy Associates. “We are confident he will add to our ability to deliver superior care and, in turn, extraordinary patient satisfaction”.
