Tarrytown, NY- May 6th, 2011, In an effort to ensure that the patients who benefit from the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge receive all the support they deserve, ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA)-the largest ear, nose, throat, allergy and audiology practice in the NY/NJ area-has stepped up its efforts to generate contributions from its associates, colleagues, patients and friends for Hope Lodge’s June 10th Magic of Hope luncheon. And, when ENTA’s $175,000 is added to its prior commitment, the total donation from the Practice and its affiliates will approach $500,000.
“While we are extremely pleased to have been selected as this year’s honoree at the American Cancer Society’s annual Hope Lodge ‘Magic of Hope’ luncheon” commented Dr. Wayne Eisman, President of ENTA, “the true glory is being able to help deliver as many donations as possible for this worthy cause”.
Hope Lodge offers free, temporary housing for cancer patients and their caregivers while undergoing treatment. But more than just a place to stay, Hope Lodge is truly a home away from home, providing a comfortable and supportive environment for encouragement and healing. Those whose lives depend on long and difficult treatments very often cannot afford the additional expense of New York City lodging, meals and transportation. This is where Hope Lodge steps in, providing those in need with help, and hope.
Added Robert Glazer, CEO of ENTA, “I visited Hope Lodge yesterday, along with my ENTA colleagues, and was truly touched by the patients’ recounting their appreciation for the services and support provided by this fantastic facility. This is truly a state-of-the-art hotel offering real comfort for real people in a real health care crisis. It is clear to me that our donations are making a difference. I urge others to support Hope Lodge.”
The Luncheon will be held on Friday, June 10th, 2011 at the Westin New York at Times Square in Manhattan.
As part of the Magic of Hope luncheon, ENTA has itself donated an additional $30,000, in the name of Tobias “Toby” Monti, late father of Nicole Monti, the Practice’s Chief Operating Officer, who recently passed away due to cancer. This contribution is in addition to the 10 year/$300,000 commitment ENTA previously made to Hope Lodge along with the Mount Sinai Medical Center.
ENTA has established a special website to help channel donations to Hope Lodge from employees, vendors, friends and others interested in supporting their mission. Anyone who wishes to donate to this extremely worthy cause can now do so at: http://main.acsevents.org/goto/magicofhopeenta
