Tarrytown, NY –May 12, 2014: The challenges and responsibilities of helping to lead a medical practice as large, dynamic and comprehensive as ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA)-whose 150 physicians serve the ear, nose, throat, allergy and audiology needs of patients through 41 state-of-the-art clinical locations across New York and New Jersey-are enormous.
That’s why, when Wayne Eisman, MD, decided not to run for reelection as President of ENTA-a post he has held successfully for the past 16 years-the Practice turned to another proven veteran they were certain could provide the needed leadership and vision to guide them through the accelerating changes being faced in the medical landscape.
That person is Robert Green, MD.
Dr. Green, who has long served patients at ENTA’s E. 86th St office in Manhattan, is an original and founding member of the Practice. Prior to his election, he has served as the Chair of ENTA’s Finance Committee and company Treasurer for 17 years, identifying and leading various initiatives that have resulted in unprecedented growth, stability, profitability…and the availability of resources deployed toward superb patient care.
The 97 partners of ENTA-who gathered for their annual State of the Practice dinner at the Bronx Botanical Gardens, also voted to elect three colleagues to serve a two year term as Board of Trustee members. They included incumbents David Godin, MD and Steven Gold, MD, and newly selected Moshe Ephrat, MD. Dr. Ephrat is the first ever physician partner chosen from Long Island (he practices in the Lake Success office), reflecting ENTA’s growing presence and service to the patients of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, where it currently has seven clinical sites.
Dr. Ephrat replaces Jonathan Aviv, MD, whose valuable service to the Practice and the Board, over the past four years, was duly noted by those in attendance.
Robert Green graduated from Harvard Medical School, following a distinguished undergraduate tenure at Stony Brook where he graduated as the valedictorian. Following medical school, he completed a residency in Otolaryngology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Presently, Dr. Green is an associate clinical professor in Otolaryngology at Mount Sinai and nationally recognized as a teacher of the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the ears, nose, and throat. He has published extensively on topics related to the ears, nose, and throat as well as head and neck surgery. Dr. Green is a diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the American Society for Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Green, a resident of Westchester County, was already a renowned New York City surgeon when, in 1998, he joined with eleven of his colleagues to form ENT and Allergy Associates, with eight office practice locations in Manhattan, New Jersey and Westchester County. In the ensuing two decades, he has helped the company grow to its present configuration of over 40 clinical sites, populated with the finest otolaryngologists, laryngologists, otologists/neurotologists, rhinologists, sleep specialists, facial plastics surgeons and allergists in the nation…who serve side by side with over 80 licensed audiologists to offer patients the most comprehensive and state-of-the-art medical care possible.
“I am honored to have been chosen by my colleagues to serve the best needs of our Practice, and more importantly, our deserving patients”, noted Dr. Green. “And I can only hope to live up to the standards of excellence set by my superb predecessor, Wayne Eisman. I will be seeking out his counsel, as well as that of all my fellow physicians, as we move forward.”
Added Wayne Eisman, MD “Rob Green is the right choice to lead our Practice forward through these challenging times. His expertise, experience and acumen in so many areas will be a huge asset to us all.”
“I look forward to working with Rob as we tackle the issues that face ENTA today, and tomorrow”, commented Robert Glazer, Chief Executive Officer of ENTA, “and am confident that this places us on a path toward even greater success.”
