ENT and Allergy Associates® Breathes New Life into Bay Ridge, Brooklyn
Welcomes Otolaryngologist Wayne Chung, M.D. to its Bay Ridge East Office
Tarrytown, NY, January 7th, 2013 - ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) fully understands that, like all of the communities it serves within its 36 office network of superior physicians throughout NY and NJ, the residents of Brooklyn, NY and the surrounding areas deserve every medical resource available to meet their families’ needs; and that these needs continue to expand as their neighborhoods grow.
That’s why ENTA is delighted to announce that it is once again expanding its roster of superb clinicians, by adding Wayne Chung, M.D. to their Bay Ridge East office. Dr. Chung joins the team effective August 1st, 2013. This Bay Ridge office, located on 64th St and 8th Ave, is in the heart of the largest Chinese community in New York City, a perfect fit for Dr. Chung, who can speak Cantonese and Mandarin.
Dr. Chung will see both adult and pediatric patients and offers a full range of otolaryngologic in-office and surgical care. He joins esteemed colleagues including otolaryngologists Sheldon Palgon MD, Tahl Y. Colen, MD (fellowship trained in Otology/Neurotology), and allergist/immunologist Jennifer Lee, MD (who, like Dr. Chung, is fluent in Chinese languages/dialects) as well as audiologist Patricia Mazzullo Au.D. The presence of so many expertly trained medical clinicians in a single office location is unique to Bay Ridge and provides residents of its many communities and neighborhoods with unprecedented local access to physicians and audiologists who have trained at some of the leading academic institutions in the United States. In fact, a medical office of this breadth and depth provides an outstanding alternative to local residents who are currently forced to travel into Manhattan for ear, nose, throat, allergy and audiology care delivered by a physician who speaks local languages.
Dr. Chung graduated with honors from Brown University. He earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine (2004-2008) and then completed his surgical internship and residency in Otolaryngology at the Boston Medical Center (2009-2013). He is a member Phi Beta Kappa, and has published original articles in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Chung is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS).
“Wayne Chung brings terrific credentials to our team in Brooklyn” commented Tahl Y. Colen, MD. “And this, in turn, will allow us to provide an even broader array of specialized ear, nose, and throat care to the wonderful communities we proudly serve.”
Added Jennifer Lee, MD, “I heartily welcome Dr. Chung both as a medical colleague, and also as an additional member who speaks the language so many of our patients do. This, on top of the materials we already display in Chinese, will really help us optimally serve the members of our communities. I am thoroughly delighted.”
Sheldon Palgon, physician partner at ENTA’s Bay Ridge office, remarked, “Dr. Chung completed his medical training with a stellar academic record and reputation as a skilled surgeon. He is, in every sense, the perfect example of our continuing effort to recruit the nation’s top candidates and deliver the highest quality medical care to our local patients. Welcome aboard, Wayne.”
