About Ajay Chitkara, MD, FACS

 Ajay E. Chitkara, MD*  graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1998 and completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Georgetown University Medical Center.  He then trained in a Laryngology / Neurolaryngology Fellowship at the New York Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders under the guidance of Dr. Andrew Blitzer.

When he returned to Long Island in 2004, he was the first fellowship trained laryngologist in the area.  Since then, Dr. Chitkara has been offering advanced voice and swallowing care to people across this region. He also has experience in the use of botulinum toxin for treating movement disorders of the head and neck such as spasmodic dysphonia, hemifacial spasm and blepharospasm. Dr. Chitkara treats problems relating to general adult and pediatric otolaryngology.  He remains active in the community and in specialty organizations.  Dr. Chitkara is a Past President of the Long Island Society of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
