About Alissa Vorous, AuD
Dr. Vorous discovered her passion for audiology after assisting her college professor in helping a child regain hearing following a bicycle accident. This experience inspired her commitment to improving hearing health for people of all ages. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 2005 and completed her Doctor of Audiology at Nova Southeastern University in 2009.
She specializes in advanced hearing technologies, Bluetooth® assistive devices, and tinnitus therapies. Dr. Vorous is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, licensed by the State of Texas, and certified to fit and service Neuromonics tinnitus devices. In May 2018, she was recognized as the number one provider of hearing aid services by Katy Magazine.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking with her husband, baking cookies with her daughter, spending time outdoors, and cheering on her FSU Seminoles.
