Catherine Xu, AuD

Dr. Catherine Xu earned her bachelor’s in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Texas at Austin and her doctorate in audiology from Vanderbilt University. She completed a residency year at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Throughout her career, Dr. Xu has practiced in both pediatric and adult diagnostics, vestibular evaluations, hearing aids and cochlear implants. She was also a member of the hearing aid research team with Dan Maddox Hearing Aid Research Laboratory at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Xu strives to be a provider patients can trust, confide in, and rely on. Her passion for hearing aids continues to grow as she sees how science and technology come together to allow patients to lead happier, more fulfilling lives. She maintains the Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Outside work, Dr. Xu enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading fiction novels, bike riding and trying new restaurants. She enjoys learning about her patients’ favorite travel adventures and hopes to see more of the world.
