About John Edwards, MD

Please note that John Edwards, M.D. will begin practicing with ENT & Allergy Associates on January 1, 2026.

Dr. Edwards is a native Texan and moved to Houston in 2020 after practicing in his hometown of San Antonio. 

He attended the University of Texas at Austin as a Dedman Distinguished Scholar and graduated from the Plan II Honors program with a B.A. with Honors in Liberal Arts. 

He matriculated from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 2000 and completed his residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC in 2005. 

Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Edwards clinical interests in general Otolaryngology include Chronic Sinusitis and Surgery of the Sinuses along with Balloon Sinuplasty,  Thyroid and Parathyroid surgery, Hearing loss, Balloon Dilatation of the Eustachian tubes, Sleep Apnea evaluation and treatment including Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulator implantation with the Inspire device, disorders of the Parotid and Parotid surgery, as well as issues in pediatric patients such as Tonsil and Adenoid surgery, Snoring and Sleep Apnea, chronic ear infections and tube placement, and chronic nasal and sinus issues. 

Always involved in the community, Dr. Edwards is a Past President and former Legislative Director of the Texas Association of Otolaryngology, serves on the Board of the Miller Outdoor theater, and is an alumnus of the Texas Lyceum.
