About Laura Helfner, MD

Laura C. Helfner, M.D., who is Board Certified in Allergy & Immunology,graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Hofstra North Shore – LIJ School of Medicine, and is American Board of Allergy and Immunology and also Internal Medicine certified. 

Dr. Helfner completed?a fellowship in pediatric and adult Allergy and Immunology at Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (ACAAI), the Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society, the New York Allergy and Asthma Society, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the American College of Physicians. 

Dr. Helfner treats both pediatric and adult patients for various allergic conditions and immune deficient diseases, including Allergic rhinitis (hayfever), Angioedema, Asthma, Atopic dermatitis, Postnasal drip, Urticaria (hives) and Chronic nasal and sinus congestion.
