About Laura Helfner, MD
Laura Helfner MD graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine and is American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Allergy and Immunology certified. Dr. Helfner completed a fellowship in pediatric and adult allergy immunology at Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York.
She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), the New York Allergy and Asthma Society, the American College of Physicians, and the Medical Society of the State of New York (MASNY) Dr. Helfner was voted on and won best allergist on Long Island by Bethpage best of Long Island several times.
Dr. Helfner sees both pediatric and adult patients. Her clinical focus is allergic rhinitis and sinus disease, allergic ocular issues, allergic asthma, and food allergy.
