About Maria Breen, Au.D., CCC-A

Maria Breen, Au.D., CCC-A, F-AAA earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education for Speech and Hearing in 1997 and a Masters in Science degree in Audiology from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1999. She completed her Doctorate of Audiology degree from Arizona School of Health Science in 2006.

Dr. Breen is licensed as an Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser in both New York and New Jersey. Dr. Breen started her career at the Center for Hearing and Communication in New York City where her passion for fitting individuals with hearing aids to improve their quality of life began. She then worked at Maimonides Developmental Center in Brooklyn, NY where she worked with all populations to improve their hearing from newborns to seniors advancing to Chief of Communication Disorders and Coordinator of Newborn Hearing Program. Dr. Breen then moved to New Jersey where she diagnosed individuals with hearing loss and balance issues at Riverview Medical Center. She has worked in ENT offices and private practices in Red Bank and Freehold assisting individuals to hear their very best. In addition, she has taught diagnostic and rehabilitative classes at Brooklyn College and Queens College as an adjunct assistant professor.

Dr. Breen has experience in all areas of diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology. She enjoys working with patients of all ages to meet their hearing needs. She has been a guest lecturer at New York University as well as given presentations at the American Academy of Audiology on Fitting Amplification on Adults with Developmental Delays, educated seniors on hearing loss, assistive listening devices, and tinnitus, as well as provided in-service training to pediatric residents in regards to normal acquisition of speech and language development, childhood hearing loss and Otitis Media. Dr. Breen is an active member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and American Academy of Audiology.
