About Melanie Ransom, APN

Melanie Ransom, APN has more than 16 years of nursing experience. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Melanie graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006. In 2009, Melanie was commissioned into the Army and served as an Army nurse, where she worked in various areas including critical care and inpatient pediatric oncology. While stationed in Seoul, Korea for her first duty station, she met her husband Ryan, who was also an Army nurse and lived in many different locations including Washington D.C., Georgia and Hawaii. Shortly after moving to New Jersey, Melanie received her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Rutgers University – Camden with a specialty in Family Nurse Practitioner. Melanie loves to travel with her husband to at least one new location every year. On her days off, she enjoys exploring new places, hiking, biking, trying new restaurants, breweries and wineries. She also has two dogs (Chewy and Dora) and two cats (Moo Moo and Raven) that keep her super busy.
