Dr. Michael P. Underbrink, MD, MBA, FACS, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained otolaryngologist with more than 20 years of experience in advanced ear, nose, throat, and voice care. After completing his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and a prestigious fellowship in laryngology at the University of Washington, he trained further as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He went on to serve as a Distinguished Professor and Medical Director at UTMB, where he pioneered minimally invasive techniques in voice and airway surgery, before founding the Houston Voice Center at Houston Ear, Nose, Throat & Allergy. His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is published widely. He continues to teach as a Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at UTMB.
