About Nerissa D’Silva, MD

Dr. Nerissa D’Silva, Diplomate, American Board of Allergy and Immunology, is an Allergist and Immunologist who provides comprehensive care for adults and children with a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions. A proud Sugar Land native, she feels fortunate to serve the same community where she grew up.

Dr. D’Silva graduated at the top of her class from Hightower High School’s Medical Academy, in Fort Bend. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Master’s degree in Philadelphia before returning to Texas for medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah and her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Dr. D’Silva is known for her thorough, patient-centered approach. She takes the time to truly listen, understanding each patient’s history, environment, and daily challenges, to uncover the root cause of their symptoms. Her patients appreciate her attention to detail and the care she puts into making sure they feel heard and informed. As both a physician and a mom, she values creating a welcoming environment for families and strives to make children feel comfortable and cared for. She believes that medicine works best when it’s collaborative, and her goal is to help patients not only find relief but also feel empowered in managing their long-term health.

Outside of medicine, Dr. D’Silva is an avid foodie who loves exploring Houston’s incredible restaurant scene and believes her hometown has some of the best food in the world. She also loves to cook, often recreating restaurant favorites in her own kitchen with her husband, Kevin. Together, they spend a lot of time with their extended family in Sugar Land, enjoy exploring new restaurants, traveling, spending time in the mountains, and making memories with their young son.
