With a bachelor’s focused on communication sciences and disorders from the University of Houston and a doctorate in audiology from Lamar University, Dr. Rachel K. Nguyen’s journey into hearing health care was inspired by a simple audiology course in college. Realizing the profound importance of communication in human connections, she decided to transition from her initial interest in speech-language pathology to audiology. Now, with a specialty in hearing aids and diagnostics, she strives to help individuals communicate effectively. Dr. Nguyen’s externship at Houston ENT & Allergy provided her with invaluable experience and knowledge, setting a strong foundation for her career. As part of the community, she is eager to utilize her expertise and passion for audiology to improve her patients’ quality of life. During her leisure time, Dr. Nguyen loves staying active and exploring various forms of exercise, such as Pilates and running. As a foodie, she enjoys the diverse food scene in Houston. Traveling, attending concerts, watching movies and spending quality time with family and friends also constitute a significant portion of her off duty hours.
