About Robert Sporter, MD

Dr. Robert Sporter is Board Certified in both Allergy & Immunology and Internal Medicine. He earned a Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of Pittsburgh, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College. He completed his residency, including serving an extra year as Chief Medical Resident, and fellowship training at Northwell in New York. He is Associate Clinical Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and is a faculty member of Mount Sinai’s Allergy/Immunology Fellowship Program where he has been consistently recognized for his teaching and dedication to the training program, teaching at the hospital clinic, our ENTA office, and giving numerous lectures each year.

Dr. Sporter is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology. He is involved in the ACAAI as a committee member and committee vice-chair and has served on the faculty at the ACAAI Annual Meeting numerous years.

Dr. Sporter has been invited to lecture nationally on complex topics such as asthma, chronic sinus disease, allergic skin diseases, food allergies, and the use of biologic therapies for these conditions. He has participated in a wide variety of research topics and has published numerous abstracts and papers. He has served as Principal Investigator on an asthma research study.

Dr. Sporter treats both pediatric and adult patients for all types of allergic and immunologic conditions, including allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and allergic eye conditions, asthma and pulmonary function testing, sinus disease, food allergy, medication allergy, hives, eczema, contact dermatitis and patch testing, insect allergy and recurrent infections.

He is recognized on numerous “Top Doctor” lists in the greater New York Area each year.
