ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP Receives HFMA’s 2018 MAP Award for
High Performance in Revenue Cycle
Tarrytown, NY – May 22, 2018 – ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) has been named as a recipient of the 2018 MAP Award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle, sponsored by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). As a national award winner, ENTA has met industry-standard revenue cycle benchmarks, implemented the patient-centered recommendations and best practices embodied in HFMA’s Healthcare Dollars & Sense® initiatives, and achieved outstanding patient satisfaction. What stands out about this year’s achievement is that it is the fourth year in a row that the practice has received this prestigious award.
Award recipients are acknowledged as industry leaders and share proven strategies with their colleagues. The award will be formally presented on June 24 at HFMA's Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Congratulations to all of our winning organizations, which have not only adopted HFMA’s Best Practices for Patient Financial Communications but also achieved excellence in revenue cycle overall,” said HFMA President and CEO Joseph J. Fifer, FHFMA, CPA. “These exceptional organizations have superior processes for communicating complex financial issues to patients in understandable ways.”
Margaret Hargrove, Director of Central Billing Operations at ENTA, remarked, "Our Practice constantly strives to be best-in-class in terms of delivering superior medical care. It is truly gratifying to know that the work we do in the important areas of revenue cycle and patient-centric practices met the demanding HFMA criteria, and has been memorialized by our receiving the MAP Award for High Performance for the 4th year in a row.”
Arthur Schwacke, ENTA’s Chief Financial Officer, added “Our revenue cycle success is the direct result of the terrific communication that exists among our clinical sites, central billing office and business development teams. We are all united around the goal of doing everything possible to improve the patient experience. At ENTA our staff is empowered so they truly occupy a ‘seat at the table’. As a direct result of that, the best ideas flow freely, and we achieve the type of unparalleled efficiencies that have resulted in this award. I couldn’t be more honored.”
Robert Glazer, CEO of ENTA, noted, “We work hard to support high quality patient care and are extremely proud of this recognition. The premise that drove this initiative was transparency of costs to our patients. We believe light must be shed on the black hole of healthcare costs and patients must be well-informed and engaged in their own healthcare. Thanks to the processes we have implemented, our patients are now more involved from the initial encounter. As a result, our efficiency has improved in a climate of higher copays and deductibles."
Created by and for healthcare leaders, HFMA’s MAP initiative sets the standard for revenue cycle excellence in the healthcare industry. MAP is a comprehensive strategy that allows organizations to measure revenue cycle performance using the industry-standard MAP Keys; apply evidence-based strategies for improvement; and perform to the highest standards to improve financial results and patient satisfaction.
