ENT and Allergy Associates adds two offices in Brooklyn, NY Practice grows to 110 Physicians

Tarrytown, NY – July 6, 2010, ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) is proud to announce its further expansion into Brooklyn, New York through a merger with Otolaryngology Associates. This will result in a brand new ENTA office at 406 15th Street in Park Slope, and a location at 7333 6th Avenue in Bay Ridge, complementing ENTA’s existing Bay Ridge office at 802 64th Street. The merger becomes effective on August 1st. Now 110 physicians across 33 office locations, ENTA is the largest group of board certified Ear, Nose and Throat surgeons and Allergists in the United States.

With this merger, four physicians from Otolaryngology Associates will join ENTA — otolaryngologists Drs. Mohsen Habib, Ramez Habib, Christopher Song and Francisca Yao. In addition to these four physicians, allergist Milo Vassallo MD/PhD will also join ENTA at the two new locations, beginning October 1st.

Mohsen Habib, MD, FACS, FRCS has been in private practice for 25 years. After receiving his medical degree from Cairo University, he completed his postgraduate training in both the United Kingdom as well as the United States. Dr. Habib is board certified in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery. He is currently the Chief of Otolaryngology at New York Methodist Hospital and Lutheran Medical Center. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons.

Ramez Habib, MD, FACS joined his father in 2004 after completing his training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he is a Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Habib is board certified in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery. He is well versed in advanced techniques in ear, nose and throat surgery, including balloon sinuplasty (for chronic sinusitis). He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and, specializes in both adult and pediatric patients.

Christopher Song, MD, FACS went into private practice in 2007, after transitioning from faculty practice at SUNY Downstate Medical Center where he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology. Dr. Song is board certified in Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery. He practices all aspects of otolaryngology, with a keen interest in pediatrics, diseases of the nose and sinuses, thyroid/parathyroid and parotid surgery, and removal/repair of minor lesions of the face and neck.

Francisca Yao, MD completed her residency training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She is board certified in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Yao brings further expertise in ear and balance disorders along with a comprehensive background in all aspects of ear, nose, and throat diseases as well as head & neck surgery.

Milo Vassallo, MD/PhD is an Allergist/Immunologist who earned his medical and doctoral degrees from the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Vassallo completed his residency and internship in the Department of Pediatrics at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University, followed by a fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology (also at Massachusetts General Hospital). He has extensive experience diagnosing and managing allergic and immune system disorders, and has published multiple academic papers in various medical journals. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology as well as the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
