Welcomes Russell Beckhardt, MD to Astoria and Garden City Offices
Tarrytown, NY, October 17th, 2013 –ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) has become what it is today—a comprehensive medical practice comprised of 40 local offices and nearly 148 community physicians equipped with the most advanced training in the fields of otolaryngology, laryngology, neurotology, facial plastics, allergy and audiological care—due in large part to its unending quest to identify and attract to its ranks the finest medical professionals possible.
Consistent with this, the Practice is extremely proud to announce the arrival of its newest esteemed physician, Russell Beckhardt, MD. Dr. Beckhardt will serve as a Partner at ENTA in both its Astoria and Garden City offices effective October 21, 2013.
Dr. Beckhardt, MD, FACS, who was born and raised in Fresh Meadows, NY, is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist and a Fellowship trained Head and Neck Surgeon who has been practicing in the Queens/Nassau area for almost 20 years. He received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton and his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin and went on to complete his Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Dr. Beckhardt serves as Chief of Otolaryngology at Franklin Hospital Medical Center in Valley Stream, NY and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery and the American Medical Association along with many other associations. He has published many academic articles, abstracts and presentations and has also received research grants for projects related to Radiotherapy and Immunology.
ENTA’s brand-new Astoria clinical office will offer patients four newly designed ENT Exam Rooms, three Allergy Exam Rooms, an Audiology Booth and a Hearing Aid Dispensing room. Dr. Beckhardt will serve Astoria patients side-by-side with otolaryngologists Dr. Tamekia Wakefield (fellowship trained in Pediatric Otolaryngology), Dr. George Poulos (fellowship trained in Otology and Neurotology) and Dr. Jennifer S. Lee (adult and pediatric Allergy/Immunology). The office is conveniently located at 31-19 Newtown Ave, Astoria, NY to easily serve both the patients of Astoria and nearby Long Island City, two of the fastest growing neighborhoods in New York City.
At ENTA’s 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art Garden City office, located at 990 Stewart Avenue, Ste 610, Garden City, NY, Dr. Beckhardt will add his expertise to that of Drs. Paul A. Bell, MD; Bradley Block, MD; Jay N. Dolitsky, MD, FAAP; Michael A. Gordon, MD, FACS; Michael G. Mendelsohn, MD, FACS, FAAP; Jay Rechtweg, MD; Warren H. Zelman, MD, FACS, FAAP; and allergist Robert J. Marchlewski, MD, FAAP, FACAAI.
