2011 Top Leadership Teams in Healthcare Winners Announced

ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP® named winner of HealthLeaders Media 2011 Top Leadership Team in Healthcare Award

Tarrytown, NY, September 8th, 2011.ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), the nation's most comprehensive and most dynamic ear, nose, throat, allergy and audiology practice, today was recognized byHealthLeaders Media as the top leadership team award winner-medical practices-for 2011.  ENTA triumphed in a category populated by medical practices with 50+ physicians, following a nationwide competition.

This award-the medical equivalent of the JD Power 'best in class' recognition, acknowledges organizations and institutions that work as a team to create innovative solutions that help produce superior medical care to their patients.

The HealthLeaders Top Leadership Teams in Healthcare award program is in its eighth year, and is designed to celebrate the outstanding teamwork that occurs in healthcare organizations each day, to share what makes top leadership teams successful, and to encourage other healthcare leaders to learn more from the best practices of top leadership teams.

With 37 clinical offices in NY and NJ and over 125 fellowship trained physicians practicing in the fields of otolaryngology, laryngology, neurotology, facial plastics, allergy and audiological care, ENTA is dedicated to delivering the superior medical care its patients deserve.

This year, HealthLeaders recognized outstanding leadership teamwork at three hospitals and one medical group practice.

The 2011 winners are:

  • ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP, Tarrytown, N.Y. for Medical Group Practices (physician-owned).
  • Banner Health, Phoenix, Ariz., for Large Hospitals and Health Systems (500 or more licensed beds).
  • Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Richland, Wash., for Community and Mid-Sized Hospitals (100-499 beds).
  • Johnson County Community Hospital, Mountain City, Tenn., for Small Hospitals (Less than 100 beds).

“We’re proud and extremely honored to be acknowledged in such an important way", noted Robert Glazer, Chief Executive Officer of ENTA. “Knowing that we measure up so well among our peers, as evidenced by a prestigious organization such as HealthLeaders Media, is very gratifying...and inspires us to do even more to deliver superior healthcare."

ENTA's entry detailed the Practice's efforts to solve the costly problem of no-shows, and highlighted the successful and seamless work of its senior management team. HealthLeaders Media's evaluation process was lengthy and competitive, and ENTA emerged successful among medical practices across the nation.
