Welcomes Veteran Allergist Mark A. Davis-Lorton MD, Full-time, to its Sleepy Hollow Office
Tarrytown, NY: – September 26, 2017 – ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) is proud to announce it has secured the expert services of Dr. Mark Davis-Lorton, who currently serves in academia as Director of Clinical Immunology Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology at NYU Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. Dr. Davis-Lorton, a New York area veteran, will start seeing patients in Sleepy Hollow, at 358 N Broadway, Suite 203, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591 as of December 1, 2017.
John County, MD- who has long served the needs of patients in Sleepy Hollow and surrounding areas, will now work exclusively at ENTA’s Yorktown office.
In Sleepy Hollow, Dr. Davis-Lorton will see adult and pediatric patients and joins outstanding Otolaryngologists Michael Bergstein MD, Jill Zeitlin MD and Laryngologist Joseph DePietro MD.
ENTA’s 195 board certified physicians include 35 allergists, who work hand-in-hand with their otolaryngologist colleagues to offer patients the most comprehensive state-of-the-art care possible.
The result of these changes is a win, win, win! The neighborhoods surrounding ENTA’s Yorktown office will now benefit from the fulltime presence of a seasoned allergist. Dr. Mark A. Davis-Lorton, who has lived in Westchester County for nearly 20 years, received his undergraduate degree from Bennington College in Vermont, then earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He went on to serve his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Samuel Bronfman Department of Medicine at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center, and received his fellowship training in Clinical Immunology and Allergy from the Jeffrey Modell Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, also at Mt. Sinai.
Dr. Davis-Lorton has served adult and pediatric patients alike as Director of Clinical Immunology Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology at NYU Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. He has concurrently served as Investigator at Winthrop’s Clinical Trials Center as well as the Immunology Section Editor for Pediatric Allergy, Immunology and Pulmonology.
In addition to the above, he serves as an Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine at the State University of New York, Stony Brook School of Medicine, and was a Clinical Instructor at the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mt. Sinai as well as a teaching assistant at that academic center.
Dr. Davis-Lorton is licensed by the United States Drug Enforcement Agency, and has been certified a Diplomate by the American Board of Allergy & Clinical Immunology, the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National board of Medical Examiners.
His clinical research in the area of angioedema is renowned, and-moving forward-he will continue to serve the needs of Long Island patients, several Saturdays a quarter, at ENTA's Garden City office. Dr. Davis-Lorton is a member of the Hereditary Angioedema Association Scientific Advisory Board.
His overall participation and leadership in research studies is vast and impressive, and includes investigations of the Clinical Effects of Singulaire in Patients with Perennial Allergic Rhinitis; Comparative trial Evaluating Fluticasone in Combination with and Delivered by Multidose Inhalers; Documenting the Diagnostic Performance of Non-Ammoniated Latex and Ammoniated Latex in Skin Testing and many, many more. He has also been published in a number of renowned journals, periodicals and the like, including the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology , the New England Journal of Medicine and Pediatrics, the official journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
