ENT and Allergy Associates Welcomes Dr. Sujana S. Chandrasekhar, Past President of the AAO-HNS, to its Physician Ranks

Tarrytown, NY – February 27, 2018: ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA) is extremely proud to announce that this spring, Sujana S. Chandrasekhar, MD, FACS will be joining its collegial body of nearly 200 of the finest otolaryngology specialists and sub-specialists and allergists. Dr. Chandrasekhar is a past President of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), which represents the approximately 12,000 U.S. based otolaryngologist—head and neck surgeons and is the world’s largest such organization. 

She will be seeing patients at ENTA’s E. 48th St. office (Tuesday-Thursday) and Wayne, New Jersey office (Fridays) beginning in April of 2018.

Dr. Chandrasekhar, a fellowship trained Otologist/Neurotologist, received her undergraduate degree from Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, City College of New York, cum laude.  She then went on to earn her M.D. at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.  She completed her internship and residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at New York University Medical Center, and her fellowship in otology/neurotology at the House Ear Clinic and Institute, in Los Angeles, California.

She has held leadership positions at the most prestigious organizations in her field, serving as President of the AAO-HNS where she was also Past Chair of their Board of Governors and Secretary/Treasurer of the American Otological Society.  Dr. Chandrasekhar is also a Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology, Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra-Northwell, Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Consulting Editor, Otolaryngology Clinics of North America, and Director of Neurotology, JJ Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Her honors and awards, foundation memberships, professional society participations, Grant activities, presentations and publications are extraordinarily numerous and laudable.  Dr. Chandrasekhar is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology in both Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and in Neurotology, and is licensed in New York and New Jersey.

At ENTA’s brand-new E. 48th St. office-which is just minutes from Grand Central Station-Dr. Chandrasekhar will see patients Tuesday through Thursday and join a roster of renowned clinical colleagues including otolaryngology specialists and sub-specialists Jonathan Aviv, M.D., F.A.C.S., Ofer Jacobowitz, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.A.S.M., F.A.A.O.A., Jason A. Moche, M.D., F.A.C.S. and Allergist Jamie Kiehm, MD.  In addition, in the summer of 2018, Otolaryngologist Jason M. Abramowitz, M.D. will join this superb clinical team, serving the needs of adult and pediatric patients.

At ENTA’s Wayne, New Jersey office, she will become part of a superb clinical team including otolaryngologists Stephen Abrams, M.D., F.A.C.S., Vito Brunetti, M.D., F.A.C.S., John A. Cece, M.D., F.A.C.S., Michael A. D'Anton, M.D., John J. Scheibelhoffer, M.D., F.A.C.S., Daniel A. Scher, M.D., Gangadhar Sreepada, M.D. and Allergist Theresa Sohn, M.D.
