ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) is once again pleased to announce that a superb physician has joined the Practice — otolaryngologist Aylon Y. Glaser, M.D. Glaser, a Bergen County NJ native, completed his residency last year from the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey (UMDNJ). He will join ENTA on May 1, 2009, practicing in ENTA’s Bayside Queens office.
Andrew Blank, M.D., a partner in the Bayside office, commented, “I am very pleased that our group continues to recruit top talent and will bring on another physician to practice in Northeast Queens, a relatively underserved area for Ear, Nose and Throat services. Dr. Glaser’s training at UMDNJ will enable our office to significantly expand its Adult and Pediatric rhinology and sinus services.”
Dr. Glaser graduated from Yeshiva University in New York City and attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed both an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey in Newark. He specializes in adult and pediatric ENT, obstructive sleep apnea, and head and neck surgery, and has a special interest in evaluating and treating sinus and ear/otolgic disorders. Dr. Glaser has been involved in numerous research studies and has been principal author in numerous papers published in peer reviewed journals. He has also presented his work at local, regional and national academic meetings. Glaser himself has almost ten years experience in software programming and web development, and even started his own consulting firm, where he developed Intranet solutions for Fortune 500 companies. He frequently talks about how that interest in everyday technology translates into his passion for medicine. Dr. Glaser has a strong interest in applying technology toward the improvement of patient care, with a focus on quality improvement and medical error capture and reduction. For example, he developed and implemented an Intranet-based postoperative data collection product for the Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s anesthesiology department for use in quality improvement. He is excited to apply his skill sets to private practice, with a focus on offering the highest quality of care possible.
Wayne Eisman, M.D., President of ENT and Allergy Associates remarked, “Completing his residency at UMDNJ with a stellar academic record and reputation as a skilled surgeon, I am proud to say that Dr. Glaser is another example of our continuing effort to recruit the nation’s top candidates in the field of ENT&hellip, and deliver the highest quality medical care to our patients.”
In addition to Dr. Blank, Dr. Glaser will be joining Gerald Suh, M.D. otolaryngologist, and Robert Marchlewski, M.D. allergist and immunologist, in Bayside, allowing ENTA to fully serve both the pediatric and adult needs of this important community.
The 28 offices of ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP have a clinical alliance with the Mount Sinai Medical Center for the treatment of diseases of the head and neck. The Practice also has an ongoing partnership with the American Cancer Society for the promotion of smoking cessation in our communities.
