ENT and Allergy Associates Enhances its Otology/Neurotology Division. Tahl Y. Colen, MD joins ENT and Allergy in Bay Ridge, New York City, Staten Island and Edison, NJ.

Tarrytown, NY –February 27th, 2010, ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) is proud to announce the further expansion of its Otology program in New York and New Jersey, with the addition of its fifth otology/neurotology sub-specialist, Dr. Tahl Y. Colen.  Dr. Colen begins seeing patients in four offices: Bay Ridge (Brooklyn), Gramercy Park (NYC), Staten Island and Edison, New Jersey, starting on June 1, 2010.  ENT and Allergy Associates has 104 physicians-which include 87 otolaryngologists and 17 allergists-and 56 licensed audiologists in 32 office locations throughout New York and New Jersey. The Practice also employs an additional 425 full time clinical and support staff.

Dr. Colen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University. She  received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her General Surgery internship and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck residency at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and then completed her fellowship training in Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery at the California Ear Institute in Palo Alto, CA. Dr. Colen has authored numerous research papers and has presented at national meetings. She has helped to successfully develop new medical technologies. Dr. Colen is Board Certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and specializes in treatment of adult and pediatric ear, balance and lateral skull base disorders, in addition to caring for patients with general ear, nose and throat disease.

 

Dr. Colen joins her fellow ENTA otologists Drs. Richard Rosenberg (White Plains), Won Choe (New York City and Englewood, NJ), Michael Gordon (Garden City), and Rami Payman (Poughkeepsie), as members of ENTA’s Ear and Dizziness Division, which treats tertiary care disorders affecting the ears, balance system, temporal bone, and related functions. This group of  fellowship-trained neurotologisits have expertise in the treatment of advanced hearing loss and tinnitus, vestibular nerve dysfunction, congenital malformations, infectious and inflammatory diseases of the ear, tumors of the ear, dizziness and vertigo.
