ENT and Allergy Associates Solidifies its Physician Roster in Middlesex County NJ, Welcomes Veteran Otolaryngologist Dr. Vishvesh Mehta to Edison and Old Bridge

Tarrytown, NY –July 20, 2010 ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) is pleased to announce the addition of Vishvesh M. Mehta, MD, Otolaryngologist, who will join ENTA in Edison and Old Bridge, NJ effective October 1st. Dr. Mehta, with over five years of otolaryngologic experience, rounds out the clinical skill sets of both locations, joining Dr. Zarina Sayeed (Otolaryngologist), Dr. Farhad Chowdhury (Otolaryngologist/Laryngologist) and Dr. Mathew Varghese (Allergist/Immunologist). .
Dr. Mehta comes to ENTA from a large practice in New York at the Jamaica Hospital and Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton in 1996 where he graduated with honors: Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree in 2000 from SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn where he was member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his surgical internship at Downstate in 2001, and served that institution as a Clinical Assistant Instructor as well as Chief Resident. Dr. Mehta has served as attending physician and held several academic appointments at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Flushing Hospital Medical Center, Kings County Hospital Medical Center and Brookdale University Hospital where he received the Outstanding Teaching Award (Department of Surgery) in 2010.
Dr. Mehta is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Heck and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS). He was awarded a New York Head and Neck Society Research Grant, as well as the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Department of Family Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. In 2009, he traveled to Vietnam on an ENT Surgical Mission through Resource Exchange International.
The arrival of Dr. Mehta assures multi-disciplinary, state-of-the-art, fully staffed ENTA offices in both Edison and Old Bridge, less than a year after the two offices were opened with a single doctor in each location.
