About Emily Rooney, Au.D., CCC-A

Emily Rooney, Au.D., CCC-A, is a licensed Audiologist in the state of New York, as well as fellow of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She received her Doctor of Audiology from Montclair State University in 2018 where she was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Honor Society. Dr. Rooney earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Loyola University of Maryland in 2013.

Prior to starting and ENT and Allergy Associates, Dr. Rooney spent three years working as a clinical Audiologist in Northern Virginia. There she gained experience working with patients of all ages, completing comprehensive audiological evaluation, electrophysiological testing and vestibular evaluations. Dr. Rooney provided hearing aid fittings and adjustments, bone-anchored devices, and cochlear implants evaluations and MAPpings to her patients with hearing loss. Additionally, Dr. Rooney helped organize and run a sleepaway weekend camp for children with hearing loss.

Dr. Rooney completed her fourth-year audiology externship at Hackensack University Medical Center. She also completed internships at Children’s Specialized Hospital, Coastal Hearing and Balance Center, St. Peter’s University Hospital and New Jersey Hearing Health Center.

Dr. Rooney is passionate about providing family centered hearing healthcare to her patients across the lifespan. When not working you can usually find her reading a good book, out on a run, or at the beach when the weather permits!
