Allergy Testing 101: What to Expect

If you’re constantly sneezing, congested, or dealing with itchy eyes, allergy testing can help identify the cause—and get you on the path to relief.

ENT & Allergy Associates offers quick and effective testing at our convenient offices across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

Types of Allergy Testing

  • Skin prick testing: Tiny drops of allergens are placed on the skin to monitor reactions
  • Intradermal testing: A small amount of allergen is injected under the skin for more precise results
  • Blood testing (IgE): Helpful for those with skin conditions or on certain medications

What We Test For

  • Environmental allergens (pollen, dust mites, mold, pet dander)
  • Foods
  • Insect stings
  • Medications

Once we identify your triggers, we build a customized treatment plan, including allergy shots or drops for long-term relief.
