COVID-19 UPDATE: Under the 14-day quarantine travel advisory announced by the Governors of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, individuals traveling to or returning from states with increasing rates of COVID-19 are advised to self-quarantine for 14 days. The current list of states, which will be updated regularly, can be found at NY.Gov and NJ.Gov. This includes travel by train, bus, car, plane and any other method of transportation. Jay Rechtweg, M.D. received his medical degree with clinical honors from the New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. Dr. Rechtweg completed both his surgical internship and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery from the State University at Buffalo Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He then went on to complete a Rhinological fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center, in Chicago, Illinois where he also acted as a clinical instructor. Dr. Rechtweg has practiced as an otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose and Throat Physician) for over 10 years. He is a resident of Long Island and has been practicing in the Long Island area for over 5 years.
Dr. Rechtweg is board certified in Otolaryngology. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the New York State Medical Society. Locally, he is a member of the Nassau County Medical Society, and the Long Island Society of Otolaryngology.
