About Shaan Waqar, MD, FACAAI
Dr. Shaan Waqar is a highly qualified allergist who offers a full range of allergy care services in our Plainview location. He has been practicing with ENT & Allergy Associates since 2018. Dr. Waqar is a New York native who grew up on Long Island and completed the prestigious seven-year Physician-Scientist combined BS/MD program from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and Albany Medical College. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Northwell Health (North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center), he pursued a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Northwell Health in Great Neck, NY.
Dr. Waqar is board certified in Allergy and Immunology by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been promoted to Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (FACAAI) and holds membership in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Waqar has presented, and been published, in a number of prestigious journals and conferences, and has been honored numerous times.
