About Rachel Naghmeh Afrahim, Au.D., CCC-A

Rachel Afrahim, Au.D., CCC-A earned her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2023 from the Long Island Audiology Consortium, including Adelphi, Hofstra and St. John’s Universities. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science and Disorders and a minor in Psychology from Queens College in 2018.  

As a part of her clinical rotations, Dr. Afrahim gained her experience from various clinical settings including St. John’s University Speech and Hearing Center, Hearing Life in Bellmore and Great Neck, NY, Northwell Health Staten Island University Hospital, ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP in Bayside and Universal Hearing Center in Queens. She completed her comprehensive fourth-year clinical residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Liberty Hearing Centers. 

Dr. Afrahim’s clinical experiences have provided her with the skills to work with patients of all ages. She is proficient in diagnostic audiological testing using various testing methods as well as performing electrophysiological and vestibular testing. She was also trained in working with hearing aids from different manufacturers to best help patients in aural rehabilitation. Her passion and primary interests lie in diagnostic audiology and aural rehabilitation where she is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to her patients.

Dr. Afrahim is a licensed NYS audiologist. She is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology.
