About Richard DeMaio, MD

Dr. Richard R. DeMaio is a well respected physician in Dutchess and Orange Counties, where he has been practicing general otolaryngology and offering quality patient care for over five years.

He is a graduate of the Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed his general surgery internship and residency in otolaryngology at the University of Rochester, NY. Prior to that, Dr. DeMaio was a surgical research fellow and clinical fellow in Otolaryngology at the Brigham & Women's Hospital, Strome Laboratory, and at Harvard University Medical School, where he was involved in laryngeal transplantation studies.

While he completed his pre-medical post-baccalaureate program at Columbia University in NYC, he worked as a research associate in the Columbia University biology department.

Dr. DeMaio is a board-certified Otolaryngologist-Head & Neck Surgeon with interests in pediatric otolaryngology, endoscopic sinus surgery, and obstructive sleep apnea and snoring surgery. He is affiliated with Orange Regional Medical Center and Hudson Valley Ambulatory Center.
