ENT and Allergy Associates®, Expands its Patient Offerings on Long Island, Welcomes Brad Block, M.D., and Ron Mitzner, M.D

Tarrytown, NY –February 2, 2011, ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP ®, (ENTA) continues to expand its presence and patient services on Long Island, and today is proud to announce that Brad Block, M.D. and Ron Mitzner, M.D., otolaryngologists, will be joining the Practice in the summer of 2011. With these two recruits, ENTA will have five new Otolaryngologists joining the Practice this summer, bringing the overall physician total to 120 across 35 office locations.

Dr. Brad Block, set to join ENTA’s Garden City office, is a Long Island native who received his Bachelors of Arts in the Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with honors, then received his doctorate of medicine from SUNY at Buffalo. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital, where he was appointed Administrative Chief Resident.  For his work in pediatric reflux, Dr. Block was awarded research honors while in medical school and received multiple awards during his residency.  Dr. Block practices general adult and pediatric ENT with special interests in sinusitis, salivary gland diseases, head and neck cancer, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and obstructive sleep apnea.  He is a member of the American Medical Association and American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Michael Mendelsohn, M.D., pediatric otolaryngologist at ENTA’s Garden City office commented, “The addition of Dr. Brad Block to our practice means our office will be able to provide even more comprehensive adult and pediatric otolaryngology, as well as allergy, audiology, hearing and balance disorders.”

Dr. Ron Mitzner, who joins ENTA Lake Success office, is a Queens’s native who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and received his Medical Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, then completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Penn State College of Medicine- Hershey Medical Center where he served as the Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Mitzner has published and presented his research at national meetings in the areas of thyroid cancer, rhinosinusitis and reflux disease. His areas of interest are in adult and pediatric ENT, sinus disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, head and neck disease, and disorders of the thyroid/parathyroid.

Dr. Mitzner is affiliated with the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Pennsylvania Academy of Otolaryngology.
