About John Kuryan, MD, FACAAI

Dr. Kuryan is a locally and nationally recognized expert in the field of Allergy & Immunology. He is a native of Philadelphia and grew up just a few miles from our office in Northeast Philadelphia. During childhood, he was a member of the Philadelphia Boys Choir and later attended Central High School. After graduating from an 8-year combined BA/MD Medical Scholars program at Widener University and Drexel University College of Medicine, he completed a residency in Pediatrics at Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He then completed a fellowship in adult & pediatric Allergy & Immunology at North Shore-Long Island Jewish. He had numerous publications and presented his research at local, national and international conferences. He was thrilled to return to his hometown to join Allergy & Asthma Care (AAC) in 2012, where he eventually served as Managing Partner. Upon the merger of AAC and foundation of ENT & Allergy Associates of Pennsylvania in 2025, Dr. Kuryan is now honored to serve as the inaugural President of ENTA of PA.
Dr. Kuryan sees adult and pediatric patients at our Willow Grove, Richboro and Philadelphia offices. He is passionate about caring for families with allergic conditions. He brings a unique perspective, as he carries the experience of being a patient and a parent affected by asthma, eczema, allergic rhinitis and food allergies. He has been interviewed by local media outlets for his expertise on allergies, and he has been voted a Top Doc by Philadelphia Magazine & SJ Magazine. He serves as Chief of Allergy at Jefferson Abington Hospital, and has privileges at Jefferson Northeast, Jefferson Bucks and Holy Redeemer. He is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He also received the prestigious National Practice Champion of the Year Award by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
In his free time, Dr. Kuryan enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children. He is an avid (rabid) Philadelphia sports fan. He is active in his local church in Philadelphia where he plays piano, guitar and sings. He and his wife Jocelyn, a local ophthalmologist, have served on multiple international medical missions trips. They have also served on the Board of Directors for Bloom India, which is an organization dedicated to providing education to underprivileged children.
